Privacy Policy

This policy explains how personal data is processed when you visit this website (precis.finance), as required by Article 13 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Regulation 2016/679). It covers this website only — use of the Précis product is governed by separate agreements.

1. Data controller

The data controller (titolare del trattamento) is Sergio Ramon Naval Marimont (P. IVA 04272171200).

No Data Protection Officer is appointed, as the conditions of Article 37 GDPR do not apply.

2. What data we process, why, and on what basis

a) Server and connection logs (hosting)

When you visit the site, our hosting provider automatically records technical connection data — IP address, browser/user-agent, date and time, the page requested, and the referring page. This is necessary to deliver the site, keep it secure, and diagnose problems.

Legal basis: legitimate interest in operating a secure, functioning website (Art. 6(1)(f)). Processor: Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany, EU). Retention: only as long as necessary for security and operation, after which logs are deleted or anonymised.

b) Audience measurement (analytics)

We measure aggregate visits and where they come from using privacy-friendly analytics software that we self-host on our own EU infrastructure. It uses no cookies, stores nothing on your device, creates no persistent identifier, and does not track you across other websites. Measurements are aggregated and cannot be used to identify you.

Legal basis: legitimate interest in understanding, in aggregate, how the site is used (Art. 6(1)(f)). Because the software is self-hosted, no analytics data is shared with any third party.

c) Embedded video

Some pages offer a product video. The video player is loaded only when you choose to play it — nothing is requested or stored beforehand. When you play a video, the provider processes connection data (IP address, user-agent, referrer) and technical performance metrics to stream the content, and the player saves functional settings (such as volume and captions) in your browser’s local storage. Video delivery is restricted to EU locations.

Legal basis: legitimate interest in providing the video you requested (Art. 6(1)(f)). Processor: BunnyWay, informacijske storitve d.o.o. (“Bunny Stream”, Ljubljana, Slovenia, EU), under a data-processing agreement.

d) Account-access requests and contacting us

If you ask to become a design partner or request access to the Précis Finance MCP demo environment using a form on this site, we process the details you submit — your email address and, where you provide them, your name, company, and role — to review your request and take steps at your request before any agreement. These submissions are stored in a database on our own EU infrastructure; they are not sent to any third-party form provider, CRM, or advertising service. When a request arrives we receive an internal notification that contains no personal data. The same applies if you email us or use a booking link: we process what you provide in order to respond.

Legal basis: steps taken at your request prior to a contract and/or our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (Art. 6(1)(b) / 6(1)(f)). Retention: request details are kept for up to 12 months and deleted sooner where no account is created (see §6).

3. Cookies and local storage

This site does not use cookies — no tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies. The only information stored on your device is the video player’s functional settings, written only after you choose to play a video. Because nothing non-essential is stored without your action, no cookie-consent banner is required.

4. Who receives your data

Personal data is processed by us and by the processors named above:

• Hetzner Online GmbH — website hosting (Germany, EU)
• BunnyWay d.o.o. (Bunny Stream) — video delivery (Slovenia, EU)

Analytics is self-hosted by us and not shared with any third party. Details you submit through an access-request or contact form are stored on our own infrastructure (hosted by Hetzner, above) and are not shared with any other recipient. External links and buttons (for example to GitHub, scheduling, or email) take you to separate services governed by their own privacy policies.

5. International transfers

Your data is processed within the EU/EEA. Hosting is in Germany, analytics is self-hosted in the EU, and video delivery is restricted to EU locations. We do not transfer your data outside the EU/EEA.

6. Retention

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected: connection logs for the period needed for security and operation; analytics only in aggregate, non-identifying form; access-request and contact details submitted through the site for up to 12 months, and sooner where no account is created; and correspondence for as long as needed to handle your enquiry.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data and to request its rectification, erasure, or restriction, to object to processing based on legitimate interest, and to data portability where applicable. To exercise these rights, email hello@precis.finance.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.

We may update this policy as the site evolves. The date below reflects the latest revision.
